Bio
Rodger Luker joined Ronnie Vanderslice in 1975 as Golden Harvest singers. Then in 1980, they became just Golden Harvest. In 1989 Doug Lackey joined Golden Harvest as tenor vocal and keyboard player. Joe Howell joined Golden Harvest in 1991 as bass vocal and rythmn guitar.
For the next 3 years they traveled and sang in churches across the midsouth. After taking a break for 13 years, they have reunited and started their singing ministry again. Rodger sings lead vocal, and plays lead guitar; Ronnie sings harmony and lead vocals and plays bass guitar. In 2007 Doug's son, Little Joe, joined the group as drummer. With Rodger and Ronnie's song writing, Golden Harvest sings mostly original material. Doug composes and produces most of the music. Joe handles the sound, bookings, and he's the bus man. Together they make up Golden Harvest.
